DC Fun: Day 1

Our long awaited trip to Arlington to visit Brady's cousin, Jodi, and her family has arrived.  They were very generous to let us stay with them in their apartment.  We arrived in Arlington on Saturday evening after about an eleven or so hour drive, and we were greeted by Jodi, Nathaniel, and Will.  We were so excited to see them!  :) We brought a few goodies for Will, and it turns out the Color Wonder Toy Story 3 set was a big hit.

Maybe Brady needs one for his birthday, too.  :)

On Sunday we visited Georgetown University.  We attended mass at the chapel on campus, and we were then treated to a great Campus tour by Nathaniel.

We had a great lunch at The Tombs.  I highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and the atmosphere.  It was delicious.  After The Tombs, Jodi, Will, and I walked to Georgetown Cupcake to see if we could get some of their delicious cupcakes.  Turns out everyone else was thinking the same thing, and the line was about a block long and the wait to get in was about one hour.  I decided that a cupcake was not worth a one hour wait.  Here's what the line looked like:

We are having a great time visiting with the Rivers and are definitely looking forward to having them back in the Midwest soon!

Today we went to see the monuments in DC.  I'll post about that soon!
